The Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) is hosting an Arts Practitioner Summer School in August 09 for arts educators led by several of the world's leading creative pedagogues.
The Summer School, which is non-residential and free to participants, gives unparalleled access to Festival 09 performances, events, workshops, practitioners and seminars. An enlightening and educational opportunity not to be missed!
Places are primarily for Scottish residents, however some are available for UK based practitioners. Participation is by application only.
Closing date for completed applications is Friday 22nd May and successful applications will be informed by Monday 15th June. No interviews are required.
Applicants need to have some experience of teaching or running education workshops, and have an open mind to exploring alternative ways to work with young people and adults within an arts education environment.
The Summer School is an opportunity to engage with ideas from world class practitioners either with a view to explore ways of applying change to your current working practice but also with the long term view of possibly joining the portfolio of freelance arts practitioners employed by the Festival throughout the year.
