Work Placement Opportunities 2009
Your chance to work alongside theatre professionals towards three productions for the Lyceum Stage.
Summer on Stage is a chance for young people who love acting, technical or costume to experience the world of professional theatre. We offer performance and production courses for 8-18 year olds which are staffed by a full professional production team and theatre directors.
Alongside this, we also offer a limited number of work placements to those who wish to gain experience, enhance their CV and get the opportunity to work on productions for the Lyceum stage.
In order to be able to give you a worthwhile experience we do ask for you to have some existing knowledge and for all placement volunteers to be aged 16+. This means we are able to give you real roles and responsibility for aspects of the production.
Ideal placement volunteers would be recent graduates or students on relevant courses such as Community Theatre, Performance Costume, Technical Theatre and Production, Directing or Acting.

Costume Assistants for performance courses
(working with Costume Designer Jess Brettle and Lyceum wardrobe staff)
13th-17th July
Assistant Director for The Chrysalids
(working with director Gareth Nicholls)
13th-25th July
Assistant Director for A Midsummer Night’s Dream
(working with director Rosie Kellagher)
7th-25th July
Production/ Rehearsal Assistant for LYT Detectives Investigate...
(working with director Philippa Tomlin and production staff)
7th-10th July
