Scottish Youth Theatre annual Summer Festival will take place this year from 5th July to 14th August.
For over thirty years, Summer Festival has offered young people the chance to take part in intense theatre arts courses, working closely with industry professionals from directors, to set designers, choreographers to technicians. And the chance to audition for Summer Festival 2010 is fast approaching!
At the end of each course, participants take part in a final production in a professional arts venue. Past Summer festival productions have been performed at The Kings Theatre, The Tron, Tramway and The Citizens. This unique opportunity to perform at key cultural venues across Scotland makes this one of the country s most popular youth drama programmes.
For the chance to audition for the Performance & Production, Technical Theatre and Intermediate courses, be sure to get your applications in by 12th February 2010. Auditions will be taking place soon after. Applications for the Foundation and Junior courses will close in May.
The range of courses available is designed to offer something for everyone. From the one week junior course to the five week Performance & Production course, there is an impressive range to choose from so for the chance to audition, download an application form and info booklet from www.scottishyouththeatre.org
