YMT is hosting a symposium for the youth music sector in Scotland.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Hilary Strong from the National Council for Drama Training. We are also pleased to welcome speakers including Chris Grady founder of Musical Theatre Matters, John Stalker, Chief Executive Edinburgh Festival and Kings Theatres, Nick Stimson, Associate Director, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Toonspeak Young People's Theatre Glasgow.
There will be a range of facilitated workshop seminars on cohesive marketing; involving young people in decision making and broadening music theatre repertoire for young people.
This is an opportunity for both leaders of youth organisations and young people (over 16 or accompanied by an adult) who want to be involved in shaping the youth music theatre sector in Scotland.
This free event is taking place on Thursday 27 November at The Festival Theatre in Edinburgh from 12.30 - 6.00pm and includes a number of opportunities to network with your colleagues. An informal sandwich lunch and refreshments will be provided.
