Roars Not Whispers - Identity?
Roars Not Whispers - Youth Participation in Local, National and International Social Justice.
2009 is a big year for celebrating culture in Scotland and on the eve of Robert Burns’ day, one of the most traditionally celebrated days of the year, we want to ask young people living in Scotland to give their views on their country and their cultural identity.
On Saturday January 24th 2009 in Glasgow, Roars not Whispers will be asking;
What is Scottish culture? What is it becoming? and what do we want it to be?
If you are aged between 16 and 25 Roars Not Whispers want to hear from you!
You can expect dialogue with young people from many different backgrounds, and they are inviting many key decision makers in Scotland to hear your views. They are also planning live link ups with young people in other countries who will add their thoughts and an international perception of Scotland.
They invite you to bring your opinions to the discussion, no matter what your background or nationality. They do ask that you also bring your imagination to express your hopes for the Scotland of tomorrow.
Following the event Roars not Whispers will make sure all these views are put to regional and national decision makers in Scotland, as well as shared throughout the RnW peer leader network.

The Roars not Whispers ‘Identity’ event will be held at 11.30am - 5.30pm on the 24th January 2009 at the Trades Hall 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow, G1 1UH.
