NAYT: successful funding bid
The National Association of Youth Theatres (NAYT) is thrilled to announce that their most recent funding bid to the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) has been successful.
The new funding - which comes from the Children Young People and Families (CYPF) grant scheme - will go towards strengthening NAYT’s organisational infrastructure and the core costs of funding their new Excellence and Inclusion Scheme. This scheme will affect youth theatres in all areas, raising standards and enable NAYT to gather an evidence base to promote the value the sector’s work.
Jill Adamson, NAYT Chief Executive, said: “This grant will make a huge difference to us, it will help us to achieve a stronger coordinated sector with a direct impact on increased quality of services to young people. Our thanks go to the DCSF for recognising the need to support us and to everyone who offered their support when we were unsuccessful last year.”
