Introducing: Electric Youth Theatre
Electric Youth Theatre (EYT) is one of Edinburgh’s newest and most exciting youth theatres. An off shoot of Creative Electric Arts Organisation it is run by a board of young people, they make all the important decisions from venue choice to fundraising.
“They create edgy contemporary theatre that we feel is real and will relate to their audiences. There’s no extreme censorship. There’s no wrong ideas. Electric theatre comes from the heart.” EYT participants
Electric Youth Theatre holding open auditions in Feb (date TBC) with a view to filling the last couple of places in the performance group and then opening a 2nd class.
They are also planning an EYT battle of the bands fundraiser organised by the young people on the board.
