The first International Youth Arts Festival will launch in Kingston from the 3rd – 12th July 2009.
The festival exists to inspire young people to produce the best work of which they are capable, to actively engage with a range of art forms, to produce extraordinary and high calibre productions and to recognise the role the arts can play in furthering understanding, empathy and cross cultural activity.
They are currently seeking indoor and outdoor performances, productions, displays and exhibitions by young people for the festival. If you have any work which you would like showcased at the festival please email the Festival co-ordinator.
They are also looking for artists to run exciting and creative workshops in all disciplines to young people during the festival - please contact the Festival co-ordinator if you feel you have quality workshops which will inspire and engage young people from 3 - 26.
